Can't field a team this weekend? Let us know as early as possible. The earlier you notify, the smaller the fee — and the club automatically notifies the competition and your opposition, so you don't have to.

How it works

Give as much notice as you can

Forfeit fines are set by how much notice you give before your scheduled game time. Under the competition by-laws, fines are the club's responsibility — the club may choose to pass them on to the team.

  • Notify as early as possible — more than 24 hours out means no fine
  • Have your team number, the opposition club and team number, game time, court/venue and a reason ready
  • On submit, the club notifies the PLHBA Competitions & Programs Manager, the Games Controller and your opposition — in writing, as the by-laws require
  • Under 4 hours' notice counts as no notice; a game not started by the 10-minute mark of the first half is a no-notice forfeit
  • Fines must be paid before your next fixtured game — and three forfeits in a season can disqualify a team
  • Forfeiting your last regular-season game makes your team ineligible for finals.
